Salut tout le monde !

Comme vous le savez il y a beaucoup de soucis d'optimisation et de performances dans l'alpha. Pierre est en train de travailler afin de stabiliser au mieux les FPS et de regler les bugs restants.

De mon côté je continue de travailler sur la toute nouvelle map qui comme je vous l'ai déjà expliqué, est conçu avec des méthodes très différentes qui permettent d'être à la fois beaucoup plus optimisées et beaucoup plus jolies.

Je vous partage quelques nouveaux screens. Pour les cubes blancs un peu partout c'est normal c'est en plein chantier (je place des cubes blancs pour commencer à construire la ville puis je modélise et place ensuite les modèles 3D des batiments et décorations).

As you know there are many optimisation/performance issues in the current alpha. Pierre is working on stabilise FPS the best he can and fix remaining bugs.


From my part, I'm keeping working on the new map that - as I already explained - was tought to be build in a completely different way, that can enhance graphisms and performance.
Here is some nex screenshots. Concerning the white cubes, it's normal. The city is still under construction ( I place these white cubes to begin to build the city, then I create 3D models of the buildings and decorations I place then in the scene)

De son côté Marine est en train de placer tout pleins de chemins pour PNJs dans le reste de la map qui est dispo dans l'alpha. La ville sera un peu moins vide :)

Marine is currently placing other NPCs paths in the alpha map. The city will be less empty :)

Elle va également travailler sur de nouvelles petites quêtes afin de mieux guider les nouveaux joueurs.

She will also work on some new short quests that will guide the new players.

Wow the new parts of the city look awesome. The pink sign in that very first picture is beautiful too. I'm so exited to see this kind of progress. Keep it up team!

Wow that looks so awesome, i love how dark and moody it is!!! The whole city feels so believable and alive. 
Areas like this make me wish i had a Walk function so i could just admire the city while casually walking around. busting out at full speed all the time can be somewhat overwhelming.

While obviously this is a freerunning game, I totally agree. Part of the wonder of this game is just taking everything in, and as a sort of RP element or even just to slow the pace a little bit it'd be nice if there was a proper walking command and animation. I'm sure even the resistance needs to just slow down and chill every once and again. : P

Beast Box? Is that what Hypets come in? 

 

And I had to look up 'canape' (apparently a french couch) but what significance does 'coin' have in coin-canape?

Is it like those beds in cheap motels that vibrate when you put a quarter in them?...You guys might not have those over there.

The file name is not important ^^ In french "coin" means "little place" ^^

For Beast Box, is a wink to "The Secret of Space Octopuses" our previous game.

Thanks for clearing that up. I figure the file name was nothing but I keep hoping you revel something by an accident. 

 

And I must not have gotten far enough in TSoSO to come across a Beast Box. I really need to finish that game.

Hey folks!
I'm working on Veelan again :D finally !! And if everything goes well (especially if there aren't tons of other things I must work on in priority) I will be able to work on her E-VERY-DAY  :happygreendy: youhou!
I'm really happy get back to my real job :3 (community management and "grunt work" are exhausting and time eating, huh :(  )
